Honestly, I did not get my hopes up when I decided to see Datong on a side trip from Beijing. But I was really glad I was wrong. The historic city itself was quite impressive and different from what I saw in Beijing. Took in a bunch of ancient sights over there and loved the grottoes the most! Highly recommend!

3 days train travel brings me too much surprises and shocks. Beijing is truly a metropolis city storing too much unique taste and luxurious points. This time, what impressed deeply will be the elegant Yungang Grottoes. With uncounted delicate carving figures, this grand Buddha Sculpture seemed to tell some theories to the tourist!
