Take in Imperial Sights by : Jim Brownlow
By far the most impressive day trip I did in Beijing for the last few days! All I had to do is follow my guide and take in historic sights in the city. It is really amazing to see so many historic attractions on that day! I loved them all!
The Forbidden City is no doubt the highlight of my trip to Beijing. The palace is really huge and I felt kind of dizzy while moving around the palace. There were so many fascinating sights to take in inside the palace.
The Summer Palace is also my favorite sight. I really enjoyed a fantastic walk in the park. The attractions were impressive too and completely blew me away! My trip to the park was more relaxing and not in a rush like I was in the imperial palace. I really loved it!
Overall, the trip went just like I expected and could not been better! Highly recommended!
Fun Rickshaw Ride by : Manios Loannis
Visited Beijing for a couple days and had a great time. Really enjoyed visiting the narrow alleys the most! And the rickshaw ride made it more fun and enjoyable! Kind of in a rush yet I really enjoyed traversing through fascinating neighborhood down there. It was a really enjoyable trip in such simplistic way. Just a nice stroll through the unseen splendor of Beijing. Had a chance to see how the locals led their lives and really loved the laidback atmosphere in those alleys. The slow pace down there was so different from the craziness of the city center and those bustling blocks. Definitely highlight of my trip to Beijing and great experience!
Highlight of My First Visit to Beijing by : Baris Yilmaz
Last week I had a great day trip in Beijing. Most impressive was my visit to the imperial palace. While wandering around the palatial complex, it was easy to get lost in a maze of courtyards, halls and passageways. The Forbidden City itself is really huge. There, all the rooftops were painted and covered with odd-shaped tiles and eaves. The complex felt like a crisscrossed maze with countless delights at every bend.
The most popular areas were a bit packed with crowd, making it difficult to take some decent pictures. Anyway, the painting and architecture as well as dazzling array of exhibits are stunning and worth seeing. The time I was hanging around the palace felt like traveling back in time! It was just incredible!
