Really glad we did the train trip to Datong from Beijing. Had a great time in Pingyao and the train ride is part of the fun for visiting the ancient town.

The ancient town of Pingyao itself is quite marvelous and looks like a treasure trove. Staying in the town over those days felt like traveling back in time. It is really amazing and fun to explore the town that way. There are ancient sights everywhere and it is really incredible to take in those sights. Great trip!
