Former Residence of Soong Ching Ling

Songqingling Former Residence is one part of the garden of the Dunqin Prince mansion. The last emperor Puyi was born here. During the reign of Qianlong, it was designated as the mansion of Heshen. Later, it was changed into the Dunqin Prince Mansion. In 1961, the Premier Zhou claimed it as the residence of Song Qingling. Since 1963, Song Qingling had lived here. In 1968, Premier Zhou Enlai arranged a building with two-storey as the living quater for Songqingling. After the death of Song Qingling, this building was renamed as Former Residence Museum of Song Qingling. It was opened to the public in 1982. The furnishings inside well preserved the original glory.
