 Look at the flourishing street filled of clothes stores, souvenirs gift shops, antique shops, and bar street all opens welcoming customers, discover several foreign tourists stroll along the street, see some locals prepare to open stores and set up the items start to sell their products, see one of small shop set a small sign "Not buy do not touch, do not take picture" on a conspicuous place. Looking all around this attractive small street, often make us do not remember what exactly the reasons come to Yandaixiejie. 

Yandaixiejie is a quaint 800-year-old hutong located directly north of Yinding Bridge, nearby Gulou area. It is one of the oldest and famous hutongs in Beijing. Yandai is the name of a Chinese pipe that was traditionally sold on this street. The old street has a total length just about 232-meter, was used as a prosperous commercial center in the ancient times. 
Today, Yandaixiejie has become popular among tourists because of its elegant classical architecture of old Beijing, houses countless bars and souvenir shops. Although the old street has been replaced by the new one, its Ming and Qing Dynasty architecture styles and many old shops are remained, especially the tobacco shops and antique shops. Here, you'll find Chinese antiques, traditional arts and crafts, fashionable clothes, Tibetan accessories as well as traditional Beijing traditional snacks. 
How to Get Yandaixiejie
By Subway:
Take subway line 2 and get off at Guloudajie station. Then take a bus or taxi directly to Yandaixiejie.
