Beijing Historical Tour

For centuries China stood as a leading civilization, outpacing the rest of the world in the arts and sciences. So during this one week holiday, I and my three partners choose the 3 Day Beijing Tour Package. During the three days, we will visit the representative attractions in Beijing including: Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven, Ming Tombs, the Great Wall and so on.

Tiananmen Tower

In the first travel day, we went to the symbols around the city downtown: Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven and Summer Palace. Each of them all enjoys long and glorious history. The attraction I like best is the Summer Palace. For me, I really enjoy the beautiful landscape there. The pavilions, promenade, palaces, temples and bridges and other artificial landscape, natural hills and open lake area are harmony and artistic blend, which make me feel fresh and comfortable. Based on the Longevity Hill and Kunming Lake, it is a large scale Natural Landscape Garden.

Mutianyu Great Wall

Today we visited the famous Ming Tombs and the Mutianyu Great Wall. The 18 pairs of stone human figures and animals along the Sacred Road gave me a deep impression. All of them are carved with exquisite skills. Also on the way to the Mutianyu Great Wall, we paid a visit to a Jade Carving Factory. At first, I didn't want to get there. But in fact it is attractive. It is not only the excellent skill on carving, but also mixes many Chinese traditional cultures in the jade carving. During the trip, I knew much about the processes of Chinese jade carving and Chinese jade culture. The last destination today was Mutianyu Great Wall. The tour lasted about 2 hours and we all enjoyed a wonderful time there. Mutianyu section of the Great Wall was originally built during the Northern Qi Dynasty which used to serve as the northern barrier defending the capital and the imperial tombs during the Ming Dynasty. Climbing to the top and having a bird's eye view around, the feeling is really great!

Tomorrow we will visit the old Beijing Hutong and Panda Zoo. That's my favorite route. My friends and I all very interested in Beijing Hutong culture and the lovely pandas. I'm sure we will enjoy a happy time tomorrow!
