Delicate Construction

It is very rare carving in Chinese history. Four ornamental columns each 4.65 meters high and a white marble stele stand at the ends of the bridge. One stele records the reconstruction is the bridge by Emperor Kangxi of Qing Dynasty. The other stele bears the calligraphy by Emperor Qianlong. It read the morning moon in the Lugou Bridge.
