Incredible Outdoor Hiking

This 4-day vacation I had in Beijing just could not get any better than it did. I had so much fun and plenty of lifetime memories. Those days were crammed with hiking to the Great Wall at different sections.

Mutianyu Great Wall

I was first taken to see the Great Wall at Juyongguan and Mutianyu sections. The Great Wall at those two sections were well restored, making walking on the wall kind of easy and less challenging for me. I got a chance to see the Great Wall up-close and personal. I was so excited to see those structures on the wall, like the watch towers, beacon towers, fortresses and barracks. Juyonguan had it all, giving me a chance to see it all and a good sense of what the Great Wall was all about. To be honest, I preferred the Great Wall at Mutianyu section to Juyongguan, as vistas out there was even more dramatic and incredible. The incredible trekking on the wall aside, I also took my time to take in the fresh outdoor air, fascinating countryside landscapes. I really had lots of fun walking up and down on the wall, snapping decent photos as soon as I got my eyes fixed at some rare angles. At Mutianyu section, great picture spots were at every bend of the wall while I was hiking along. The vistas of the wall snaking upon the rugged mountains totally blew my mind. Totally loved it there!

Jinshanling Great Wall

My last two days, I visited the Great Wall at some off the beaten path sections, including Jinshanling and Simatai sections. Walking on the crumbling wall over there was pretty difficult for me, but that was part of the fun and made my adventure there worthwhile. My excursion to those off the beaten path wall remains was filled with blood-pumping experiences and lifetime memories! The views at Jinshanling and SImatai were kind of different from those at Mutianyu and Juyongguan, but still stunning and marvelous to the eyes. I also had a lot of fun trekking on the crumbling wall and having a good look at those ruins of the watch towers on the wall. The crumbling paths were surrounded by dense wilderness, making walking on the wall very difficult and challenging. The photos I got over there were even more amazing and rare. I really loved them and could not wait to show them to my family and friends back home!

Overall, it was a great vacation and I really enjoyed every minute of it!
