Fu Yuan Tianxia Hot Pot

Fu Yuan Tianxia is a famous Beijing Restaurant cooking traditional Beijing Food - Hot Pot. Mother and Son hot pot in Fu Yuan TianxiaThe dishes serve here have an authentic Chongqing flavor. Primarily self-serve hot pot, there are numerous quick-boiled selections like cow stomach, beef, spicy ginger fish, chicken kidney, fish head and more. Their "mandarin duck" pot is very different from what is served in other restaurants: it is a small bowl stacked inside a larger bowl, with a brilliant white broth in the innet bowl and a shining red soup in the outer, it looks like a volcano ready to erupt, and is often called the "Mother and Son Pots". Thick slices of goose intestines and goose feet are placed in this spicy soup and their meat falls right off the bone.  The whole concoction looks like transparent glue while it boils. The flavor is a bit light, and the peppery and spicy sensation is reined in. But it still produces a generous flavor without over-doing it.
