No.16 Courtyard Restaurant is a Beijing Courtyard Restaurant which good at the Imperial Cuisine situated near to Shichahai.

No. 16 Courtyard Restaurant is hidden in the Hutong area where most people tour on bike coaches. This restaurant locates near Shicha Houhai lake, north of the Yundian bridge. It is a tiny restaurant with only a couple tables, so reservations are a must. Tables usually have a minimum food charge. And the large table had a huge 3000RMB minimum.

No. 16 Courtyard Restaurant provides very good service. This open-air courtyard restaurant in Houhai mainly provides Imperial Chinese Cuisine, the best of all China. It serves abalone, shark's fin, tea shrimp and other seafood dishes prepared by a chef who used to work in the Beijing Hotel. The food can be expensive but this was a nice lesson on what Chinese Imperial cuisine is. You pay a premium for the quiet secluded location though. This restaurant is best for those who have finished a tour of the nearby lakes and Hutong.
