Tour Itinerary

Day 1
Arrival at Shanghai

Arrival at Shanghai, pick up from Shanghai airport and then transfer to the hotel in Shanghai.1

Day 2
Shanghai (B, L)
Yu Garden

Pick you up from the hotel on decided time after breakfast, then drive you to visit Yu Garden, Jade Buddha Temple, the Bund, People's Square, Former French Concession, Shanghai Museum and Xintiandi which are the famous tourist destinations in Shanghai. After this one day trip, transfer you to Shanghai train station, take soft sleeper train from Shanghai to Xian.
- Yu Garden: is considered one of the most lavish and finest Chinese gardens in the region.
- Jade Buddha Temple: a spiritual oasis in the midst of a booming city.
- Shanghai Museum: ranked as the best museum of China and especially famous for its treasures of bronzes, ceramics, paintings, and calligraphy.
- Xintiandi: A leisure entertainment centre with catering, shopping, and an amazing nightlife to suit all tastes and moods, all in a romantic, distinctly Shanghai setting.

Day 3
Xian (L)
Terra Cotta Warriors

1. Pick you up from Xian Train Station and first have a one hour tour of Banpo Museum.
- Banpo Museum: is a New Stone Age site which is dating back to approximately 5,000 to 4,000 B.C. Visitors will be taken aback to the most complete examples of a Neolithic agricultural living lives and experience the Chinese settlement of human beings 6 thousand years ago.
2. After visit Banpo Museum and on the way to the Qin Shi Huang's tomb, you are arranged to go shopping at the Qin Terra-cotta figures factory for about 40 minutes. Then move on to the unopened Terra-cotta Warriors (the first emperor's tomb).
3. After lunch, move on to the famous Terra-cotta Army for a 2-hour visit.
- Terra Cotta Warriors: which is praised as “the eighth major miracle of the world”, including Vault 1,2,3, with the total area of 22,780 square meters . It shows a surpringsingly high level in crasftmanship and sculpture are the most significant archeological excavations of the 20th century.
4. Then transfer to Xian train station, take soft sleeper train to Beijing.

Day 4
Arrival at Beijing

Arrival at Beijing. Pick you up from Beijing train station and transfer to your hotel in Beijing.

Day 5
Beijing (B, L)
Badaling Great Wall

1. Pick you up from your hotel on departure time, and then drive to the Ming Tomb first. The sightseeing on the Ming Tombs lasts about 1 hour at Changling.  Finish visiting the Ming Tombs, before having lunch at 11:30am, you will have 45 minutes for a short visit of Jade Carving Factory, from where you will know the processes of Chinese jade carving and Chinese jade culture.
- Ming Tomb: Buried 13 emperors of Ming Dynasty, it is the largest clusters of imperial cemeteries in China.
- Changling: The tomb of Emperor Chengzu and his empress, is the largest and most magnificent one of Ming Tombs.
- Jade Carving Factory: jade carving is a famous special Chinese product, a blend of the excellent skill on carving and Chinese traditional cultures.
2. After a traditional Chinese lunch at Jindian restaurant, drive you to the famous Badaling Great Wall for excursion. Great Wall hiking lasts about 2 hours. Cable car is available but optional.
- Badaling Great Wall: The most famous and best-preserved section of the Great Wall.
3. Then you are returned to the downtown Beijing. We will pass by the main Olympic Stadium built for the 2008 Olympic Games---"the Bird's Nest, Water Cube" and you will have chance to take pictures in coach. After that, you will have a chance to enjoy the Chinese traditional Silk arts.
4. After the tour, transfer you back to your hotel.

Day 6
Beijing (B, L)
Forbidden City

1. Pick you up from hotel on departure time, and then drive to the Tiananmen Square, enjoying the view around the largest city square. Then move on to Forbidden City to feel the imperial power (Exhibition of Treasures included).
- Tiananmen Square: the largest public square in the world with a total area of 440,000 square meters.
- Forbidden City: the best preserved imperial palace in China and the largest ancient palatial structure in the world.
2. Next destination is the Temple of Heaven. On the way to the Temple of Heaven, you will have a chance to visit the Chinese traditional medicine culture. After the tour in the Temple of Heaven, have a typical Chinese lunch in the restaurant and then enjoy a short visit to a pearl free market.
- Temple of Heaven: the largest existing complex of ancient sacrificial buildings in China.
3. The last destination during the day trip is the Summer Palace, the largest and most beautiful Chinese imperial garden. Visit it for about 1.5 hours.
- Summer Palace: the largest and most well-preserved royal park in China, greatly influences Chinese horticulture.
4. After the day trip, transfer you back to your hotel.

Departure from Beijing (B)

Drop off to Beijing airport and see off.
