Tour Itinerary

Day 1
Arrival in Beijing

Our guide will pick you up at the exit of Beijing Airport and transfer you to hotel. The rest day is free.

Day 2
Beijing (B, L, D)
Temple of Heaven

Visit Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City  this morning. Then have lunch in a restaurant. In the afternoon, visit the Temple of Heaven. The Beijing Duck Dinner is served at a famous restaurant followed by a lively Chinese Kung Fu Show at Liyuan Theatre.
- Tiananmen Square: the largest public square in the world. It is 880 meters from north to south, and 500 meters from east to west, with a total area of 440,000 square meters and can hold one million people.
- Forbidden City: the largest ancient imperial palaces where 24 emperors, 14 of the Ming and 10 of the Qing, ruled the country from here over a span of nearly 500 years.
- Temple of Heaven: The perimeter of the Temple of Heaven is 6,369 meters with 6 meters high. The temple was the place where the emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties worshipped heaven and prayed for good harvests.

Day 3
Beijing (B, L)
Sacred Way

Visit the Badaling Great Wall. To avoid having lunch at shopping site restaurants, you will be driven to have Sichuan food at a local popular restaurant. Visit the Sacred Way and the Ming Tomb in the afternoon. On the way back to downtown, drive by the Bird's Nest (Olympic National Stadium). You will see its appearance at a distance. 
- Badaling Great Wall: As its name implies it gives access to every direction. With an elevation of 600 meters it is the most famous and best-preserved section of the Great Wall.
- Ming Tombs: also called Shisanling (literally, Thirteen Tombs), it is the largest clusters of imperial cemeteries in China. They are mausoleums of thirteen emperors of the Ming Dynasty. Dingling is the tomb of Emperor Shenzong and his two empresses, it is an underground palace. Changling, the tomb of Emperor Chengzu and his empress, is the largest and most magnificent one of the Ming Tombs.
- Sacred Road: Which means the road leading to heaven is lined with 18 pairs of stone human figures and animals, they are important decorations of the mausoleum.

Day 4
Beijing - Chengdu (B, L)
Summer Palace

Visit the Summer Palace and Lama Temple. Take a flight to Chengdu and transfer to the hotel.
- Summer Palace: the largest and best preserved imperial garden of the Qing Dynasty extant in Beijing, as well as a famous classical imperial garden.
- Lama Temple: the Yonghegong (Palace of Harmony and Peace) Lamasery is the largest and most perfectly preserved lamasery of Gelug Sect(Yellow Sect of the Lamaism)in present day Beijing.

Day 5
Chengdu - Jiuzhaigou - Huanglong (B, L)

Take a morning flight to Jiuzhaigou. After lunch, transfer to Huanglong. Visit the Huanglong Monastery and the Multi-coloured Pools with hundreds of steps. Then you will be transferred back to Jiuzhaigou to stay overnight.
- Huanglong Valley: Designated a national park in 1983, Huanglong (Yellow Dragon) Valley is studded with waterfalls and terraced, coloured limestone ponds of blue, yellow, white and green.

Day 6
Jiuzhaigou (B, L)

Full day tour to Jiuzhaigou scenic spot to visit the Multi-coloured Lake, Nuorilong Fall, Long Lake and the Pearl Beach.
-Jiuzhaigou scenic spot: it is dominated by three drainages, Rize and Zechawa streams which flow from south to north, meeting at the centre of the site to form the Shuzheng which drops 1,000m to the north end of the reserve. There it meets the Zharu stream flowing north-west from the eastern boundary to form the Jiuzhaigou river, one of the sources of the Jialing river, part of the Yangtze River system. There are 114 lakes, 47 springs,17 groups of waterfalls, 11 rapids and 5 tufa shoals within the reserve.

Day 7
Jiuzhaigou - Chengdu - Leshan - Mt. Emei (B, L)
Leshan Giant Buddha

Take a morning flight to Chengdu. Then after having a lunch at the Chengdu city, take car to Leshan Mountain. Visit the Leshan Giant Buddha, the biggest carvings in the world. Transfer to Emei and check in at the hotel.
- Leshan Giant Buddha: The sculpture depicts the seated Buddha Maitreya carved into the cliff of Qixia Peak, on Lingyun Mountain, right next to the water.

Day 8
Mt. Emei - Chengdu (B, L)
Mt. Emei

Visit the Baoguo Temple and the Wannian Temple on Mt. Emei. Transfer back to Chengdu. 
- Mt. Emei: It is the highest of China's four holy Buddhist mountains, rising 3,099m above sea level about 170 km from Chengdu.

Day 9
Chengdu - Lijiang (B, L)
Chengdu Panda

Visit the Panda Base. Take a flight to Lijiang and transfer to the hotel. Visit the Square Street of Lijiang Old Town. The rest of day is free for you to explore the town. You can wander through the beautiful town and have dinner in the town by yourselves.
- Chengdu Panda Breeding and Research Center: was one of the earliest research bases established in the early 1980s by the Government of the People's Republic of China (PRC).

Day 10
Lijiang (B, L)
Jade Dragon Snow Mountain

Visit the Baishui Tableland, the Dry Sea, take the cable car to Spruce Plateau and overlook the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, visit the Baisha Village and a local Naxi family, the Baisha Murals, the Rock Joseph's Former Residence in Yuhu Village. Enjoy the Naxi Ancient Music and Dance Performance at Dongba Palace.
- Yulong (Jade Dragon) Snow Mountain: is the much famed mountain is situated some 15km north of Lijiang County, located in the southern section of the Hengduan (transversely faulted) Mountain ranges.
- Baisha Village: is a small village near the town of Dayan. Also it is one of the first settlements of Naxi ancestors. Here Naxi Ethnic groups set up the first settlement and created their Dongba culture.
-Ancient Music and Dance Performance: Naxi classical music is regarded as a 'living fossil of Chinese music.' This kind of Music has the power to cleanse the heart and relax the mind.

Day 11
Lijiang - Dali (B, L)

It takes about three hours driving to Dali and transfer to the hotel. On the way to Dali, visit the Bai Traditional House in Xizhou and Zhoucheng, famous for tie dyeing.

Day 12
Dali - Kunming (B, L)
Dali Ancient Town

Visit the Erhai Lake Park, the Three Pagoda Temple and the Dali Old Town. Take a flight to Kunming and transfer to the hotel.
- Erhai: The Lake is the second largest lake of Yunnan Province, with the Dianchi Lake ranking the first. It is named after its shape and expanse. "Er" in Chinese means a human ear and "Hai" means a sea, therefore it got the name Erhai.
- Three Pagodas: the Dali Three Pagodas, located in the Chongsheng Temple at the foot of the Cangshan Mountain, have a history of over 1,800 years. They have been eyewitnesses to Dali's history and embody the development of Buddhism in the area.
- Dali Ancient Town: a city that is famous for its literature, historical records, cultural of heritage and richest relic in Yunnan Province. It faces Erhai Lake to the east and Cangshan Mountain to the west.

Day 13
Kunming (B, L)
Stone Forest

Full day tour to visit the Stone Forest, the Golden Temple and the Flowers and Birds Market.
- Stone Forest: is known as the First Wonder of the World ever since the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644 AD) for its natural landscape.
- Golden Temple: The temple was first built in 1602 in the Wanli reign of the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), and is also known as Taihe Palace (the Hall of Supreme Harmony) and Tongwa Temple (the Bronze Tile Temple).

Day 14
Kunming (B)

This tour was great! Chengdu was wonderful! We saw the pandas and they were so lovely, Jiuzhaigou was just like a fairyland, so amazing! The Lijiang and Kunming were also very great. We can't help to say "wow" during all the tour! All the sights were nice. Our tour guide Andy was a nice guy, he told us a lot about the sites and help us a lot! Please say thanks to him.
