Tour Itinerary

Day 1
Arrival in Beijing

Upon your arrival, our tour guide will pick you up at the exit of the airport. Transfer to the hotel. You can have a good rest or explore the city on your own for the rest of the day.

Day 2
Beijing (B, L, D)
Tiananmen Square

Visit Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City this morning. Then have lunch at a very nice restaurant to taste the authentic Chinese food. In the afternoon, visit the Temple of Heaven. The Beijing Duck Dinner is served at a famous restaurant a lively Chinese Kung Fu Show at Liyuan Theatre.
- Forbidden City: the largest ancient imperial palaces where 24 emperors, 14 of the Ming and 10 of the Qing, ruled the country from here over a span of nearly 500 years.
- Temple of Heaven: The perimeter of the Temple of Heaven is 6,369 meters with 6 meters high. The temple was the place where the emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties worshipped heaven and prayed for good harvests.

Day 3
Beijing - Harbin (B, L)
Badaling Great Wall

Visit the Badaling Great Wall. After lunch, take an afternoon flight to Harbin which is the capital of China's northernmost province, Heilongjiang. The guide will pick you up on time and transfer you to the hotel. The best time to visit Harbin is in winter as this city is famous for its diversified ice activities like snow sculptures exhibition, skiing and winter swimming. The Harbin jewish heritage will unfold before you during following two day's tour.
- Badaling Great Wall: As its name implies it gives access to every direction. With an elevation of 600 meters it is the most famous and best-preserved section of the Great Wall.

Day 4
Harbin (B, L)

In the late 19th century and the early 20th century, Harbin was once the biggest habitat in the Far East for Jews. Today's schedule will take you to the "Jewish Community" where you can feel the atmosphere of their lives a hundred years ago and see the appearance of the Main Synagogue, the sites of Jewish High School and Jewish Bank. Then visit the Harbin Huangshan Jewish Cemetery, also the largest and the best-preserved one in East Asia.

Day 5
Harbin - Zhengzhou (B, L)

Continue to follow the Jewish tracks in Harbin to the New Synagogue, which is the largest Jewish synagogue in East Asia, and see the Harbin Jewish History and Culture Exhibition in it. Take a flight for about 2.5 hours to Zhengzhou and check in at the local hotel.

Day 6
Zhengzhou - Kaifeng (B, L)

Drive about 2.5 hours to Kaifeng, which hold many jewish heritages. For the rest of the morning, visit Nan Jiaojing Hutong where the Jews start to live since the Northern Song Dynasty and drop by a local family. (You're advised to tip for CNY50 as an expression of your gratitude and respect  to the host after the family visit) Then visit the Kaifeng Museum. After visiting the Kaifeng Judaic Exhibition and the Jewish Cemetery, transfer back to the hotel in Kaifeng.

Day 7
Kaifeng - Luoyang (B, L)
Shaolin Temple

Drive on speedway for 3 hours to Luoyang and check in at the hotel. On the way, you will visit the world famous Shaolin Temple including Pagoda Forest, where you can also enjoy a marvelous Kungfu performance. Shaolin Temple is the cradle of the Chinese Zen Buddhism and the Shaolin Martial Arts such as Shaolin Cudgel. The Temple embraces many exciting attractions, such as the Hall of Heavenly Kings (Tianwangdian), the Mahavira Hall (Daxiongbaodian), the Pagoda Forest, the Dharma Cave and the Shaolin Temple Martial Art Training Center. Visitors may follow the virtual guide about the Shaolin Temple.
- Shaolin Temple & Pagoda Forest: Shaolin Temple is reputed to be 'the Number One Temple under Heaven'. The temple is the birthplace of the Chinese Zen Buddhism and the Shaolin Martial Arts such as Shaolin Cudgel.

Day 8
Luoyang - Shanghai (B, L)
Longmen Grotto

After breakfast, visit Longmen Grottoes which is one of the four Grottoes of China and World Cultural Heritages. Then take an afternoon flight to Shanghai and when you arrival at Shanghai pick you up and transfer to the hotel.
- Longmen Grottoes: One of the three major grottoes in China. There are totally 1,352 caves, 785 niches, more than 97,000 statues of the Buddha, Bodhisativas, and Arhats, and 3,680 inscribed stone tablets.

Day 9
Shanghai (B, L)
Shanghai Jewish Museum

Shanghai is rich in jewish heritage after long year baptism in the past. Visit the Shanghai Jewish Refugees Museum (former Ohel Moishe Synagogue) which is the memorial hall for the Jewish refugee in Shanghai and the Huoshan Park where stands a Monument which is also for the memory of the Jewish Refugees. In the afternoon, stroll along the No.818 lane on Tangshan Road for a visit to the largest Jewish Community in Shanghai, and Road Zhoushan where you can see Jewish-style buildings. End the day in Tilanqiao Jewish Isolation Region.

Day 10
Departure from Shanghai (B)

Transfer you to the airport and see off. This pleasant Jewish tour ends here.
