Tour Itinerary

Day 1
Arriving in Beijing

Our guide will pick you up at Beijing Capital Airport and then transfer you to downtown Beijing for the hotel registration. Free for the rest of the day.

Day 2
Beijing (B, L)
Forbidden City

After breakfast, pick you up from your hotel. You will come to the city center to visit Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City in the morning. After a typicl lunch, move on to visit another symbol of historical sites in Beijing, the Temple of Heaven. Enjoy and relax yourself in the excellent Kungfu Night Show in the evening. Then you will be transfered to the hotel.
- Tiananmen Square: The largest public square in the world with a total area of 440,000 square meters.
- Forbidden City: The best preserved imperial palace in China and the largest ancient palatial structure in the world.
- Temple of Heaven: The largest existing complex of ancient sacrificial buildings in China.

Day 3
Beijing (B, L)
Badaling Great Wall

After breakfast, pick you up from your hotel and drive to the famous Badaling Great Wall, which is 60 miles away from downtown about one and a half hour driving. Enjoy 2-3 hours hiking on the Great Wall. Cable car is available and it is optional. After lunch get back to downtown Beijing and visit the Summer Palace. While driving back to the hotel, you will have an outstanding look at the Bird's Nest and the Water Cube.
- Badaling Great Wall: The most famous and best-preserved section of the Great Wall.
- Summer Palace: The largest and most well-preserved royal park in China, greatly influences Chinese horticulture.

Day 4
Beijing - Lhasa (B)

A morning flight will take you from Beijing to Lhasa. On arrival, our tour guide will meet you at the airport and then transfer you to the downtown hotel directly. Free for the rest of the day.

Day 5
Lhasa (B, L)

After breakfast, drive to the first destination, Tibet Museum. Then move on to the Carpet Factory to learn about the world-famous Tibetan carpet. After lunch, continue to the Sera Monastery. Today's last destination is Norbulingka. After the day tour, transfer you back to the hotel.
- Tibet Museum: there are a large number of cultural relics show the glorious history and unique culture of the region.
- The Carpet Factory: The highland of Tibet is the actual home of the oriental carpets. By visiting Carpet Factory you will have a general idea how carpets are produced.
- Sera Monastery: It is dedicated to the Gelugpa Sect, a branch of Tibetan Buddhism and is famous for debates on Buddhist doctrines. Almost 10,000 Buddhist statues are preserved here.
- Norbulingka: The biggest man-made garden in Tibet. It consists of palaces such as Kelsang Potrang, Golden Potrang and Takten Migyur Potrang, with totally 374 rooms.

Day 6
Lhasa (B, L)
Barkhor Street

Pick you up from your hotel and enjoy the full day city tour of The Potala Palace, The Jokhang Temple, and Barkhor Street. Overnight in Lhasa.
- Potala Palace: A UNESCO endorsed world cultural heritage site. It was where Dalai Lama lived. The palace consists of White Palace and Red Palace, with nearly 10,000 rooms.
- Jokhang Temple: built in 647 as the earliest wood-masonry structure in Tibet. It is dedicated to a statue of Sakyamni. It has a collection of cultural relics dating back to the Tang, which includes statues of Songtsan Gambo and Princess Wencheng.
- Barkhor Street: Also called Bajiao Street - an ancient circular street with strong Tibetan flavor. It's a route where pilgrims holding prayer wheel walk clockwise. And now a famous commercial street.

Day 7
Lhasa - Xian (B)

After breakfast, your guide will transfer you to the railway station for the soft sleeper train to Xian. The train journey will last for about 33 hours.

Day 8
Lhasa - Xian

The whole train journey from Lhasa to Xian will pass by Nakchu, Golmud, Xining and Lanzhou. In the evening, on your arrival in Xian, our local tour guide will meet you at the railway station and then transfer you to the hotel in Xian City.

Day 9
Xian (B, L, D)
Shanxi Provincial History Museum

Pick up from your hotel, have one day city tour of Terra Cotta Warriors (40 miles away from downtown). Then have a visit to Terra Cotta replication Factory. After lunch, transfer you to visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and Shaanxi Provincial History Museum. After dinner enjoy the Tang Dynasty Show. Then transfer you back to the hotel.
- Terra Cotta Warriors: It is a part of the Qin emperor's tomb complex, the Terra Cotta Warriors is the greatest findings in the archeology world.
- Big Wild Goose Pagoda: the symbol of the long history of Xian, and a well-preserved ancient building and holy worshipping shrine for Buddhists.
- Provincial History Museum: it is a giant architectural in the Tang-dynasty style and it successfully symbolizes the great extent of Shaanxi history and its remarkable culture.
- Tang Dynasty show: a wonderful performance of the ancient music and dance, is a must when you visit Xian.

Day 10
Departure from Xian (B)
Xian Ancient City Wall

After breakfast, pick you up from the hotel and drive you to see the Ancient City Wall which is 600 years old. Then move on to the Great Mosque. After that the tour guide will transfer you to the airport and see off.
- Ancient City Wall: the most complete city wall survived in China as well as one of the largest ancient military defensive systems in the world.
- Great Mosque: it is one of the oldest and best preserved as well as most renowned mosques in the country.
