Itinerary of: 10 Days Beijing Lhasa Xian Train Tour

Day 1
Arrival at Beijing

Arrival at Beijing, met and transfer to your hotel in Beijing. Free for the rest of the day.

Day 2
Beijing (B, L)
Forbidden City

Pick up from your hotel, and first visit Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City in the morning. After a la carte lunch, move on to visit Temple of Heaven. Last, we arrange an Chinese Kung Fu Show at Red Theater. After this show, transfer to your hotel in Beijing.
- Forbidden City: The best preserved imperial palace in China and the largest ancient palatial structure in the world.
- Tiananmen Square: The largest public square in the world with a total area of 440,000 square meters.
- Temple of Heaven: The largest existing complex of ancient sacrificial buildings in China.
- Chinese Kung Fu Show: is a traditional Chinese martial art with thousands years of history.

Day 3
Beijing (B, L)
Summer Palace

Pick up from your hotel, drive to Badaling Great Wall and have a full excursion tour to Badaling Great Wall. After lunch, drive back to Beijing downtown to visit Summer Palace. On the way back to your hotel in Beijing, you will see the two outstanding buildings of Beijing Olympic Games, Bird Nest and Water Cube.
- Badaling Great Wall: The most famous and best-preserved section of the Great Wall.
- Summer Palace: The largest and most well-preserved royal park in China, greatly influences Chinese horticulture.

Day 4
Beijing - Lhasa (B)

Pick up from your hotel transfer to airport. Take morning flight to Lhasa. Arrival at Lhasa, met and transfered to your hotel in Lhasa. It is suggested that you have a rest at the hotel to acclimatize yourself to the high altitude. Neither of bath and vigorous activities is suggested upon arrival on the first day.

Day 5
Lhasa (B, L)
Norbulingka Park

Pick up from your hotel in Lhasa, first visit Tibet Museum. After that, you will pay a visit to the Carpet Factory to learn about the world-famous Tibetan carpet. After lunch, continue to the Sera Monastery. Last, head to Norbulingka Park. End of this day, transfer back to your hotel in Lhasa.
- Sera Monastery:  is the representative monastery of the Gelukpa of the Tibetan Buddhism.
- Norbulingka Park: also known as the Summer Palace in Lhasa, is located in the western suburb of Lhasa.

Day 6
Lhasa (B, L)
Potala Palace

Pick up from your hotel in Lhasa, first visit Potala Palace. After lunch, proceed to Jokhang Temple. From the temple, you can walk to Barkhor Street. Last, move on to Tibetan Traditional Medicine Hospital. End of this day, transfer back to your hotel in Lhasa.
- Potala Palace: A UNESCO endorsed world cultural heritage site. It was where Dalai Lama lived. The palace consists of White Palace and Red Palace, with nearly 10,000 rooms.
- Jokhang Temple: built in 647 as the earliest wood-masonry structure in Tibet. It is dedicated to a statue of Sakyamni. It has a collection of cultural relics dating back to the Tang, which includes statues of Songtsan Gambo and Princess Wencheng.
- Barkhor Street: Also called Bajiao Street - an ancient circular street with strong Tibetan flavor. It's a route where pilgrims holding prayer wheel walk clockwise. And now a famous commercial street.

Day 7
Lhasa - Xian (B)

Pick up from your hotel in Lhasa transfer to train station. Take soft sleeper train to Xian. The train journey will take you about 33 hours, you will overnight in train.

Day 8
Arrival at Xian

Arrival at Xian in the evening. Met and transfered to your hotel in Xian.

Day 9
Day 9: Xian (B, L, D)
Tang Dynasty Show

Pick up from your hotel in Xian, first visit Terracotta Army. After a la carte lunch, move on to Big Wild Goose Pagoda and Shaanxi Provincial History Museum. For dinner, you will enjoy the local specialty Dumpling Dinner and the Tang Dynasty Music and Dance Show at Shaanxi Opera Theatre. After that, transfer to your hotel in Xian.
- Terracotta Army: is only a part of the Qin emperor's tomb complex.
- Big Wild Goose Pagoda: the symbol of the long history of Xian, and a well-preserved ancient building and holy worshipping shrine for Buddhists.
- Shaanxi Provincial History Museum: is a giant architectural in the Tang-dynasty style and it successfully symbolizes the great extent of Shaanxi history and its remarkable culture.
- Tang Dynasty Show: a wonderful performance of the ancient music and dance, is a must when you visit Xian.

Day 10
Leave from Xian (B, L)
Xian City Wall

Pick up from your hotel in Xian, first visit Xian City Wall. Later, visit to a local family to know about the local people's life and a la carte lunch will be arranged in the home, to taste the authentic home cooked Chinese dishes. Arranged Chinese food cooking class in the family visit welcomes you to participate. After lunch, head to Great Mosque. End of this tour, transfer to airport and see off.
- Xian City Wall: is the most complete city wall survived in China as well as one of the largest ancient military defensive systems in the world.
- Great Mosque: was that Islam were introduced into Northwest China by Arab merchants and travelers from Persia and Afghanistan during the mid-7th century.
