Voyage: Chongqing to Yichang

Days

Chongqing to Yichang (Down Stream)

Day 1 Board on the ship before 20:00pm.The Ship will make sail on 22:00PM.
Day 2

Departs Chongqing at 09:00am in the morning. Shore excursion to Fengdu Ghost City after lunch.
- Fengdu is where the devil lives, according to Chinese legend. They say that spirits go to heaven, and evil goes to Fengdu. The town is overlooked by Ming Shan Hill, home of Tianzi, the King of the Dead. The whole place has an eerie feel to it with deserted streets, tower blocks, empty shops and banks. The only people here are those who make a living from visiting cruise boats.

Day 3 Set sail at 11:00, passing through Qutang Gorge. Shore excursion to Lesser Three Gorges (12:30AM-16:00PM). 
- The Lesser Three Gorges are the three separate valleys of the Daning River: Dragon Gate Gorge, Misty Gorge and Emerald Gorge. These lie on the lower reaches of the Daning, which flows into the Yangtze. The gorges are truly spectacular. Sheer cliffs soar up towards the sky from the brown-green water. Mountain tops hover above the ribbon of mist, disconnected from their roots. Its "subtle mountains, clear waters, pretty rocks, dangerous rapids, sharp turns, fantastic caves, and stalactites in various shapes" create the timeless beauty that you see in Chinese landscape paintings. Monkeys, mandarin ducks and other water birds can be seen loitering on big boulders in this area. In addition to the wonderful natural scenery there are a number of historical places of interest along the way, such as a suspended coffin, boat coffin, and remains of ancient plank walkway.
Day 4 Shore excursion to Three Gorges Dam site (07:30AM-10:30AM). Passing througth Xiling Gorge. Arrives in Yichang at 11:30PM. 
- Three Gorges Dam, the largest water conservancy project ever undertaken by man and it has been a dream for several generations of Chinese people. The construction of the dam formally began in 1994. The body of the dam was completed in 2003, and the whole construction will be competed in 2009. It will be 2,335 meters long, 185 meters high, 18 meters wide on the top and 130 meters wide at the bottom.

 

Voyage: Yichang to Chongqing
Days

Yichang to Chongqing (Up Stream)

Day 1 Aboard on the ship before 20:00pm.
Day 2 The Ship will make sail on 07:00AM. Passing through Xiling Gorge. Shore excursion to Three Gorges Dam site(8:30AM-11:30AM).  Passing through Three Gorges Dam ship locks.
- Three Gorges Dam, the largest water conservancy project ever undertaken by man and it has been a dream for several generations of Chinese people. The construction of the dam formally began in 1994. The body of the dam was completed in 2003, and the whole construction will be competed in 2009. It will be 2,335 meters long, 185 meters high, 18 meters wide on the top and 130 meters wide at the bottom.
Day 3 Shore excursion to Shennong Stream (08:00-12:00).  Set sail passing through Wu Gorge and Qutang Gorge.
- Shennong Stream: it is a small tributary of the Yangtze River, and its fast-flowing, crystal clear water runs southwards through deep gorges. The stream races past large and small karst caves, flocks of swallows, sheer cliffs, deep gorges, waterfalls, three-colored springs, rapids, the ancient plank path, a suspended coffin in the cliff, groups of ancient tombs and marvelous karst formations.
Day 4

Shore excursion to Fengdu Ghost City (16:00-18:00).

The itineraries listed in the form probably be adjusted owing to the bad weather, water level, temporary navigation control and prohibition.

Aboard the cruise
: You should arrive at Chongqing before 20:00PM to aboard the cruise on the first day. You can tell us your flight  number (or  train number) and arrival time, or hotel you stay in Chongqing. Our guide will pick you up and drive you to the port to aboard the ship.

Crusier accommodations, three meals everyday, shore excursions specified on the itinerary. The accommodation is based on one standard bed per person.

How to Book?
You can book online or by email, tell us your flight number/ arrival time to Chongqing or Yichang? Go downstream or upstream? The hotel you stay in either city, we will pick you up from the airport (or hotel) to the cruiser. You will receive our confirmation email after your booking.

Note: There are only two beds in a cabin. Most of the ships do not provide extra bed, so you may need to reserve another cabin, or a half cabin (0.5 cabin) for the third person (for an adult or a big child) .
If you want to take a whole cabin for the third person, a single supplement of 75% to 100% of a single ticket is required. If you only take a half cabin, or only "a bed", the price is the same but he/she need to share the cabin with a stranger.

The scenery of Yangtze River is so amazing, the Three Gorges and Fengdu Ghost City really impressive. The tour guide is very good, a kind of hospitality and professional.
