Itinerary of: 13 Days Breathtaking Sightseeings of China Tour

Day 1
Arrival at Beijing

Arrival at Beijing. Be met & transferred to your hotel. Free at leisure for the rest of the day.

Day 2
Beijing (B, L, D)
Forbidden City

Pick you up from your hotel and enjoy the full day trip to the Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, and the Temple of Heaven. Enjoy a Peking Duck Banquet for dinner and Peking Opera Show in the evening. After the tour, transfer back to your hotel.
- Tiananmen Square: is said to be the largest public square in the world. It is 880 meters from north to south, and 500 meters from east to west, with a total area of 440,000 square meters and can hold one million people.
- Forbidden City: the largest ancient imperial palaces where 24 emperors, 14 of the Ming and 10 of the Qing, ruled the country from here over a span of nearly 500 years. It takes pride in its precious collections of more than 900, 000 cultural and art objects.
- Temple of Heaven: The perimeter of the Temple of Heaven is 6,369 meters with 6 meters high. The temple was the place where the emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties worshipped heaven and prayed for good harvests.

Day 3
Beijing (B, L)
Summer Palace

Pick you up from your hotel and take a full day trip to the Great Wall, Ming Tomb and Summer Palace. After the tour, transfer back to your hotel.
- Great Wall: As an emblem of Chinese civilization, a cultural phenomenon of world caliber, and an UNESCO-endorsed world cultural heritage site, the 6350km Great Wall was in the ancient years of China a mammoth defense bulwork that serpentines its way across mountains and valleys in the northern part of the country.
- Ming Tombs: it is the largest clusters of imperial cemeteries in China. They are mausoleums of thirteen emperors of the Ming Dynasty. Dingling and Changling were open to the tourist. Dingling is the tomb of Emperor Shenzong and his two empresses, it is an underground palace. Changling, the tomb of Emperor Chengzu and his empress, is the largest and most magnificent one of the Ming Tombs.
- Summer Palace: the largest and best preserved imperial garden of the Qing Dynasty extant in Beijing, as well as a famous classical imperial garden.

Day 4
Beijing - Lhasa (B)

Transfer to the airport and fly to Lhasa and pick up at the airport and transfer to the hotel.

Day 5
Lhasa (B)
Potala Palace

Pick you up from your hotel and visit the magnificent Potala Palace, the Sera Monastery, the Norbulingka Park and a local Tibetan family. After the tour, transfer back to your hotel.
- Potala Palace: A UNESCO endorsed world cultural heritage site. It was where Dalai Lama lived. The palace consists of White Palace and Red Palace, with nearly 10,000 rooms.
- Norbulingka: The biggest man-made garden in Tibet. It consists of palaces such as Kelsang Potrang, Golden Potrang and Takten Migyur Potrang, with totally 374 rooms.
- Sera Monastery: It is dedicated to the Gelugpa Sect, a branch of Tibetan Buddhism and is famous for debates on Buddhist doctrines. Almost 10,000 Buddhist statues are preserved here.

Day 6
Lhasa (B)
Jokhang Temple

Pick you up from your hotel and take you to visit the Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Street, the Tibet Museum, the Tibetan Traditional Medicine Hospital and the Carpet Factory. After the day tour, transfer back to your hotel.
- Jokhang Temple: built in 647 as the earliest wood-masonry structure in Tibet. It is dedicated to a statue of Sakyamni. It has a collection of cultural relics dating back to the Tang, which includes statues of Songtsan Gambo and Princess Wencheng.
- Barkhor Street: Also called Bajiao Street - an ancient circular street with strong Tibetan flavor. It is a route where pilgrims holding prayer wheel walk clockwise. And now a famous commercial street.

Day 7
Lhasa - Xian (B, L)
Xian City Wall

Pick you up from your hotel and transfer o the airport. Take flight to Xian. Pick you up at the airport and transfer to the hotel. Visit the Ancient City Wall on the way.
- Xian Ancient City Wall: the most complete city wall survived in China as well as one of the largest ancient military defensive systems in the world.

Day 8
Xian (B, L)
Terracotta Warriors

Pick you up from your hotel and visit the Terra Cotta Warriors. To avoid having the poor food at the site, you will take highway back to downtown to have lunch at a well-known Cantonese cuisine restaurant. In the afternoon, visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. This evening you will be entertained with the marvelous Tang Dynasty Show. After the tour, transfer back to your hotel.
- Terra Cotta Warriors: It is a part of the tomb complex of Qin emperor, the Terra Cotta Warriors is the greatest findings in the archeology world.
- Big Wild Goose Pagoda: the symbol of the long history of Xian, and a well-preserved ancient building and holy worshipping shrine for Buddhists.
- Tang Dynasty Show: a wonderful performance of the ancient music and dance, is a must when you visit Xian.

Day 9
Xian - Guilin (B, L)
Provincial Museum

Pick you up from your hotel and visit the Provincial Museum. After lunch, fly to Guilin, pick you up at the airport and transfer to the hotel. The evening delight is to enjoy the Ethnic Songs and Dances at Lijiang Theatre after dinner. After the tour, transfer back to your hotel.
- Provincial Museum: Opened in 1991, the museum is a giant architectural in the Tang-dynasty style and it successfully symbolizes the great extent of Shaanxi history and its remarkable culture.

Day 10
Guilin - Yangshuo - Guilin (B, L)
Li River

Enduring memories are created today as you cruise down the Li River to Yangshuo. Upon arrival in Yangshuo, a short bicycle trip to the countryside will then be arranged. You will visit a local home to experience the lifestyle there. Alternatively, you can take our electric car instead of taking bicycles. Transfer back to Guilin.
- Li River Cruise: From Guilin to Yangshuo. To travel the river, one will find its natural sights vary in different weathers, but are all beautiful.
- Yangshuo: An ancient city town. Yangshuo is famous for its attractive hills and waters as well as its abundant production particularly for such fruits as sweet orange, tangerine, pomelo and persimmon.

Day 11
Guilin - Shanghai (B, L)
Elephant Trunk Hill

Pick you up from your hotel and visit the Reed Flute Cave, the Seven Star Park and the Elephant Trunk Hill. Take a flight to Shanghai and transfer to the hotel.
- Reed Flute Cave: One of the most famous caves in Guilin. The 240-meter-long cave contains numerous grotesque-shaped stalactities that form four zones of the cave: Stone Forest, Heavenly Pillar and Cloud Mountain, Crystal Palace and Zigzagging Gallery.
- Seven Stars Park: In the park is the famous Seven Stars Mountain, which has many water-eroded caves. Among these caves, the most famous scenic spot in the park is the Seven Stars Cave, which is inside the Putuo Hill.
- Elephant Trunk Hill: shapes just like an elephant drinking water from the river with its trunk, thus its name. The symbol of Guilin.

Day 12
Shanghai (B, L)
The Bund

Pick you up from your hotel and visit the Shanghai Museum and the Yuyuan Garden. After lunch, transfer you to the Bund area, where you will take a cruise tour on the Huangpu River. The cruise will start at 14:00, reach the Wusongkou pier and then get back to the Bund at 17:00. Leave you some free time to explore the Bund area on your own. After the tour, transfer back to your hotel.
- Shanghai Museum: ranked as the best museum in China.
- Yuyuan Garden: is considered one of the most lavish and finest Chinese gardens in the region.
- The Bund: the picturesque bund with tall building of various tower over the river, looking as a museum of modern world architecture.

This was a great tour!
