My 3 Days Tour in Beijing, Full of Enjoyment

My trip to Beijing last week has been as amazing as it could be. I really had a great time over those days in the city and had fun as well. There seemed to be so many fun things to fill my agenda everyday in Beijing. Visited a whole bunch of historic sights with my guide Liu.

Forbidden City
First day, visited the Tiananmen Square. Then we headed to the Forbidden City by walking through the square. The palace is really huge and looked like a maze of palace, enclosed wall and courtyard. I felt dizzy while walking around the palace. I would have been lost without Liu by my side. She also filled me in with the history of the palace, which made my visit more fun and enjoyable. I also visited a few halls to see plenty treasure exhibits - all very marvelous. Really had a god time and an eye-opening trip to the palace. After lunch, we moved on to visit the Temple of Heaven. Also my favorite historic site that day. In the evening, Liu took me to watch the acrobatic show. The performance lasted for over an hour and was really spectacular. I really enjoyed the show and had a wonderful time in the theater.

Next day, we got outside the city proper and visited the Ming Tombs first. It was a massive tomb area where many Ming emperors and empresses were buried. To be honest, there is nothing special about the tombs down there. After lunch, we moved on to see the Great Wall at Badaling. I got to say, the wall is way better than the tomb. And I really enjoyed an incredible trek on the wall and did some sightseeing too. I totally enjoyed myself taking in the sight and walking the wall over there. It was fun and I just loved the fresh air and countryside with greenery all over the area.

Summer Palace
My last day was spent visiting narrow lanes in Beijing and the world famous Summer Palace. It was really fun to see the lovely lanes on a rickshaw ride. Definitely a whole new experience for me in Beijing. The Summer Palace is amazing too with spectacular sights all over the park. Had fun in the park too. Did not like the crowd though.

It was a great trip I did to Beijing and worth it all!

Just Close to Chinese Ancient Times

I felt very honor that I enjoyed such a terrific tour appreciating the marvelous Ming Tombs and my favorite charming Mutianyu Great Wall last week together with my friends. After the tour finished, our mind still stuck into the record, clear and memorable.

Ming Tombs

On that day, we got up very early. Bus is filled other tourists from all over the world. We liked this kind of atmosphere. Once got on the bus, we smile to each other. At last, tour guide got on the bus and explained the first station and the itinerary of the whole day. Her English is very excellent that we clearly get the meaning. At the same time, she also told us some tips and attentions we should pay on the whole journey. From the downtown area, we were transferred to Beijing suburb area. Environment here showed a little tranquil and purity. In addition, we have formed a big family communicating with each other talking about our favorites and interest. First section is Ming Tombs. This area is full of wild grasses and spacious land. For a while, we got down the bus. Standing before the gate, as started to search the lure features. We were ordered to enjoy the Underground Palace. It is full of mystery and royal tastes. Inner arrangements are very impressive. My friends talked about its background history and listened to the stories about this building. What we left to the Ming Tombs is only admire and inspect.

Mutianyu Great Wall

What I was very interested in the Mutianyu Great Wall. Although weather is a little cloudy, I enjoyed perfect and terrific climbing journey. Just one friend accompany with me enjoying hiking. Rest of them all took the cable car to conquer. I liked the hiking journey very much, because I saw the real charming sceneries alongside and I touched the Great Wall bricks. What the most important is that I widened my vision appreciating the watchtowers. They showed more magnificent and complex than the book said. Standing inside the watchtower, seeing down, a kind of dangerous feeling appeared in my mind, so high and steep. How they were built in the ancient times? How these big bricks were carried on the mountains under the poor condition? A series of questions appeared in my mind. However, I wanted to say, littering anywhere is really bad behavior. We should protect the building but not destroy and polluted. All the parents should take care of your children in case of the slipping and dangerous conditions.

I felt very proud that I conquered the world wonder building by foot. I cherished the experience forever!

What a Fun-filled Vacation!

Really spent a couple of fun-filled days in Beijing with my kids and husband. We prepared our vacation in Beijing for quite a long time and the whole vacation went just like we anticipated. We booked the private tour online and got picked up at the airport right on time. We were taken to see a bunch of historic sites over those days.

Forbidden City

The most impressive sight for me and my husband is no doubt the imperial palace on our first-day trip but our kids did not like it like we did. They all fund it boring and very crowded out there. What can I say? They are just too young for history, I guess. The palace itself is huge and really impressive and there were great photo opportunities everywhere inside the palace. Our guide kept filling us the history about the palace, which made it more fun and enjoyable on our tour of the museum. The palace and hall inside the museum were exquisitely decorated and from what I gathered the palace was as luxury as it could be back in the day. Anyway, our visit to the palace museum is definitely an essential Chinese experience! Our rest of the day spent visiting Hutong areas near the Drum Tower. It was a fun experience too. In the evening our guide also took us to watch a night Kungfu show. And our kids just loved it! So did we. We both were glad they found something to entertain themselves!

Badaling Great Wall

On the next day, we first went outside the city proper to see the Great Wall. We enjoyed a walk on the wall with our kids and had to keep a tight reign on them all the time as all they wanted to do on the wall was running around chasing each other. It was a fine day and the weather was very pleasant for the walk. It was really a great experience to get away from the city noises for a while and explore the wall. We all enjoyed a great time on the wall and had fun as well. In the afternoon, we completed our day trip with a visit to the Lama Temple. Boring too for our kids but me and my husband like it over there. It was quiet and full of Buddhist atmosphere.

On our third day in Beijing, there was nothing special and all we did was visited some gardens. Overall, our vacation in Beijing was wonderful!
