Incredible 4 Days Tour in Beijing

Our tour guide picked us up from the airport after we landed in the International Airport of Beijing. It was already well into the afternoon when we got to our hotel. Rest of the day, we did nothing much except unpacking our stuff and got settled in our room.

Mutianyu Great Wall

Next day after we finished our breakfast at the hotel, our tour guide showed up. Then we jumped on a bus and hit the road outside the city proper. We first visited an enormous mausoleum outside Beijing. We had a leisurely stroll down a path toward an underground tomb. Inside the tomb, it was kind of creepy and dim-lit, though the tomb was turned into a museum. After the tomb area, we hit the road again and this time we headed for Mutianyu to see the Great Wall. About half an hour later, we found ourselves at the foot of wall, where there was a chair lift available for us to get on top of the hill without climbing up on our own.

This serene chair lift ride took us up the mountainside and landed us on the Wall. On our ride up the wall, we got a great view of the snaking wall from up above. It was quite impressive and left me the first impression of the wall. We started to hike along the minute we landed on the flat path. Hiking the wall was fun and easy at first, but it got much more challenging after over an hour of walking. We had to take rest from time to time and catch breath by the watch tower. But it was worth all of our efforts as we were rewarded to quite a sight. Snaking up high on the lofty hill, the Wall offered us dramatic views of the watch towers and lovely countryside. At times, the paths got extremely steep and slippery, and we had to be more careful while making our way up the highest watch towers.

By the way our tour guide also interested us with stories about the Great Wall, when it was built, and what it was meant to keep out. To keep our interest going, our tour guide also spent plenty of time talking about how the army used to guard the wall back in the day. When it was time for us to get down, we hopped on a long slide down the hill. It was kind of fun too. Overall, it definitely was once in a lifetime experience for both of us and we just could not wait to see more of Beijing over the next couple days!

Marvelous Attractions, Well-designed Tour

Staying in China for three years, I have not the chance to appreciate Beijing in-depth. By the chance my mother coming, we booked this 2 days Beijing tour. I clearly remembered the booking process is so easy that we got the detail information about the tour.

Mutianyu Great Wall

The first day, we felt very proud that we got closer to Mutianyu Great Wall. It is a charming building with large scale trees and plants. Its best preserved appearance left me a deep impression. Tourists here are less than I expected. After arriving at this attraction, we enjoyed the gorgeous sceneries and tasted the local culture. To be honest, I did not like the vendors ranking along. I liked the purity atmosphere. Every stage we stepped, I will arouse different feeling. Ground is level with hard bricks. Surrounded trees are just like the protective screen sheltering from the strong sunlight. We enjoyed the terrific hiking journey. Sometimes, we sited for a while and sometimes, we took pictures with the surrounded. With the hiking journey more far, we got more tired, especially my mother.

Each stage for her is just like an elegant mountain waiting for passing through. After the sweat disappeared, we went on our hiking journey. There are some sections full of steep stages. We helped each other going on. We hold breath and did our best to conquer it. Standing at the top, I shouted, so cool. We choose one corner sitting down. The overview scene is so charming, people far distance are tininess. I could feel why it is described as the long-distance dragon. We got down by the cable car. It is convenient for the tired and the disabled tourists. Flying feeling surrounded us the whole journey.

Forbidden City

On the second day, we visited Forbidden City. It left us typical deep impression with well-preserved luxurious appearance and imperial tastes. I liked the palaces very much with well-arranged appearance. Each of them has certain function in the ancient times. To the regret is that most of the palaces are forbidden to enter. So, I could not get the inner appearance. We are permitted to stand outside to appreciate. It is very spacious inside with ancient desk and chair. All of them are different with modern appearance with ancient features.

2 days Beijing tour is so meaningful and I tasted a lot and learnt a lot! Beijing is really a wonderful city!

Highlight of My 4-day Trip to Beijing

This 4-day trip to Beijing was fun and full of highlights. I really enjoyed every minute of it. I got picked up by our tour guide after I landed in Beijing and she took me straight to my hotel. Afterwards, I spent rest of the day on my own.

Beijing Hutong

The next day morning, our tour guide showed up early, after I finished my breakfast, I hopped on the bus with her. We first headed for Tiananmen Square. The square is really large and jam-packed with Chinese style buildings. I lingered around the square for a little while before I was taken to visit the Forbidden City. Our visit to the imperial palace was kind of in a rush, and I did like it at all. However, our walk down some lanes in the suburb of Beijing saved my day. I got to see the daily life scenes of Beijing up close and personal, which was fun and memorable. I got to say, the Hutong walk is on e of the highlights of my trip to Beijing. Everything turned out the way I expected. A relaxing stroll down the crisscrossed lanes, window shopping, as well as a rickshaw ride all made that afternoon meaningful and fun. By the way, I also enjoyed a night out to see a night show in a theater. The show is really a bonus for my first day trip. I really enjoyed the performances and had a good time.

Mutianyu Great Wall

The next day, a visit to the Temple of Heaven aside, I was taken to explore outside Beijing proper in the afternoon. It took us over an hour to get to Mutianyu Great Wall. The minute we landed on the wall, our wall walking started right away. It was really amazing to walk the solid stone paths with hardly anyone around. By the way, great picture opportunities were all over the place. I felt really great to take in the refreshing outdoor air, the lovely countryside landscape as well as the majestic Great Wall. I really had a lot of fun walking with the other guys along the wall. By the time we got off the wall, I also got a chance to see the sunset on the wall, which was truly breathtaking and made a hard-to-beat picture as well.

Overall, I am really glad I got hang out in Beijing that day. It was fun and memorable!
