How I Explored the Great Wall at Mutianyu

Compared to the Badaling Great Wall the Mutianyu Great Wall is a bit far, so visitors are relatively less. I had a lot of fun exploring the Great Wall in there. The sightseeing was amazing and the hiking on the wall was quite easy, even for an old man like me.

Mutianyu Great Wall

There are several ways to climb the Mutianyu Great Wall. Without climbing tools, you can climb all the way up if you are young and strong, so here are some popular climbing tools widely praised by foreigners: the first one is walk directly from the parking lot to get on the cableway to get up the Great Wall, with a cable car located at the viewing platform. After a short rest, then you can take a cable car back to the slide. Then you can use the ropeway to return to the Great Wall on the re-use slip to return to the starting place. The second is to take the cable car climbing up the Great Wall to get to the viewing platform and use a slide getting back. The third is hike up the Great Wall entrance with 1000 stone steps to climb up, until you get to the viewing platform, but the cable car down until the parking lot and then walk from the parking lot and take the cable car to climb the Great Wall and get back on slide.

The first method after comparing several methods make a little sense of achievement, but it costs a lot more. The second method is the most interesting among the most of young foreign visitors who prefer to walk on foot, but not without a sense of achievement, and for the third method, the stairs are steep, very easily to get hurt for old man like me, this method is not recommended.

The most popular is the third way, you will make the most sense of achievement, satisfaction is the highest too while hiking up the wall. If your body is very healthy, it is not too much even for a 70 year old. Near the parking lot there are a number of restaurants, although the price a little expensive but can once tasted many delicious dishes. Mutianyu Great Wall make a perfect reason for a stop while drinking cold beer. I believe you will have a lot of fun exploring the Great Wall, just like me!

This is my first time visit Beijing and I am really excited about it. My first time visit Beijing of course I would spend with explores some famous historical sites in the capital. Make plan do not waste our time then we booked this private 3 days tour. We find this local travel agency website on the internet then just did book the tour. First, called the trip advisor then finally reserved the tour at last.

Within those 3 days, we did see lots of landmarks of Beijing, modern and old. With this tour, it took us to explore Great Wall, Forbidden City, Summer Palace, Hutong and others. For me everything about Beijing was ancient and fresh. It was really different from where I come from. The life style and customs of local people, its architecture historical sites, the history, transportation system etc are different.

The surely thing that I got from Beijing is experience. New experience that I would not forget, especially when I took the rickshaw ride roamed around old lane of Beijing or just hike on Great Wall, which I never did it before. I loved the itinerary of the tour which brought us to the suburbs outside Beijing for visit Ming Tombs and Great Wall on the second day of the tour. An escape outside Beijing, a nice excursion to the huge Ming emperors tomb and famous magnificent Great Wall. Oh and in the evening of this second day tour, we also had a peking duck dinner which was delicious. Not so much as our expectation but it is so authentic and new. My first time to taste Chinese Peking duck flavor too. Lots of first time I did experience in Beijing, China so because of that I loved it. There are so much different sides of China which are not same with my culture or life style.

The place where I loved the most is Forbidden City, an ancient palace of China where located in the center of the city. I could feel the deep history while explore the huge royal palace. Lots of important buildings and halls we did explored and at the same time knew interesting history behind each spot of it. Overall, I could say that the tour was accommodating enough and well organized till the end. Thank you for the arrangements!

3 Days Well Organized Beijing Tour

My trip in Beijing began with our booking service online has been confirmed by one of local travel agency in China. 3 days travel in Beijing had become the surely thing to do when I arrived the capital few months ago. With this 3 day tour, my family and I, in total of 6 people of us, we did visit several historical relics around the city and also outside downtown for explore Great Wall and Ming Tombs which located in the suburb near Beijing.

All activities that we did were all the highlights of the trip. The whole trip itinerary was interesting and ideal. The tour covers every places that we want to visit when come to Beijing, some must visit places in the city. But for me, I loved the day three itinerary. It was not boring, even it was interesting. On the day 3, the tour covered a visit to Panda House, Lama Temple and ride the rickshaw or pedicab ride explore the Hutong Beijing.

Apart from visit lots of historical places including Forbidden City or Temple of Heaven, a short visit to Panda House was very interesting. Finally I could see some adorable fluffy giant pandas in Beijing zoo. Although time visit the zoo was not so long but we appreciated our time, took lots of photos.

Because it is a private tour then we also could have longer time to explore more. Should not need waiting for another visitor if we were in group tour. Then besides Lama Temple, an ancient classical Chinese Buddhist Temple in Beijing, on the day three we did also could admire old Beijing lane in Hutong by taking rickshaw. Interesting memories and it was my first time to ride such kind of pedicab. Hutong filled with lots of authentic culture and lifestyle of local Beijing as well as its old architecture of buildings. There I could admire Beijing old architecture as well as saw many local Beijing people who still lived around the area. We did passing through some old buildings including Drum Tower, Bell Tower, and other which have long history, an evidence of historical story in Beijing.
