Along with the No. 109 National Road, we enjoyed the quiet and natural environment happily on the way. It is the first time for me to visit this kind of village with so many stone and earthy houses, and I cannot control myself about this exploration, but the tour guide persuaded me to takes a short rest and we would enjoy it in 2 hours. During the rest time, the tour guide explained that this village is built in Ming Dynasty, where the Han's Family has inhabited. After development from generation to generation, it become an inn on the post road and populated for many people. With long history of thousand years, Chuandixia Village has retained the traditional cultural relics and folk-custom.

Walking in this village, I seemed to back to the ancient time of China, but the local villagers zaps me back to reality. They are so enthusiasm that I felt the actual relative, different with it in busy city. Sour and Sweet Pork Steak

With the tour guide, I arrived at the local cooking school where I would learn Chinese cooking. Different from western cuisines, Chinese cuisines are made through frying, steaming and boiling with various accessories. First, the expert told me some basic skills about how to prepare the Chinese cooking. It is a complex process to recognize these various accessories for ordinary people but me, because I am a cook actually. The expert was amazed about my skill of cooking and praised that I would learn Chinese cuisines very well. After taste my fruit of cooking, the expert said I can be a good Chinese cook if I like stay in China to learn Chinese cooking sequentially.

After lunch, the tour guide leaded me to a vegetable market which is familiar with the market in my country, and I am very excited in it, because it is the place I always go to. Last, we visited local famous snack shop and I brought many kinds of them and want my family would taste these delicious Chinese foods and snacks.

In one word, I was addicted into the Chinese cuisines including the cooking process and delicious fruits. I am still learning Chinese foods in my home if I have free time, and my aim in future is open my own Chinese restaurant in my country.

Taiji Learning in Temple of Heaven

Only US$ 16, I joined the Taiji class organized by BeijingLandcapes.com. I have deep impression about Chinese Taiji Quan on TV, and wanted to try it. Taiji Quan, a traditional Chinese Kungfu, has long history. Now, Taiji Quan is adopted to practice spirituality and improve the physical fitness. In early morning, I always see many people play Taiji in open squares and areas. Together with our friends more than 10 persons, we booked this Taiji class tour to learn the peaceful Chinese Kungfu.

Taiji Learning

Arrived at the east of Sacred Bridge in Temple of Heaven, we met our Taiji master and introduced each other. Short rest, our master explained the origin, development, classification and function of Taiji Quan briefly. The term "Taiji" refers to the yin-yang principle of the interplay between two opposite forces in nature. The "Quan" literally means "fist", a kind of unarmed combat. Taiji Quan is based on the simple principle of the soft overcoming the hard. Concentrating on correct posture and breathing control, Tai Chi's movements are fluid, graceful and well balanced, promoting the complete harmony of body and mind.

Look like very easy, but Taiji Quan is hard to learn and control. The master always corrected our posture and breath, and we found it is very difficult different what we see in open square. Even, you should care three parts of your body at same time, including hands, feet and body. Different with other Chinese Kungfu, Tiaji needs soft strength, and it is very hard for men. But we all doubt why the master does very well and he is also a man. After the 2 hours, the master tested us and gave a Chinese typical gift to the best man.

It is very interesting thing for me, and I have fallen in love with it. I would learn it continually.
