In-depth Great Wall Hiking Experience

I have been looking forward to this Beijing trip for quite a long time. Last week, I finally made it! The reason why I was so excited about his trip was because I really wanted to see the Great Wall myself, not on TV or magazines. Got to say, the Great Wall is to die for if you are looking for fun stuff to see, do and experience!

Jinshanling Great Wall

Those 5 days I spent with my tour guide were just amazing as it could be! Every day we head to some sections of the Great Wall to see different sides of the wall. Personally, I just loved the sections at Jinshanling and Huanghuacheng. At Jinshanling section, I got a chance to hike up the amazing crumbling paths and take in endless natural delights over there. With the snaking wall meandering on the rugged mountains as far as my eyes could see. Great picture ops were all over the place and at every turn! The hiking on the wall was much of a challenge for me, but it was all worth it! With hardly anyone out there, I felt like I got the whole wall all to myself and I could explore the wall as long as I wanted! It was really amazing and fun! The whole time we were trekking along the crumbling paths, the views varied from time to time and by the time we headed back, the sights on our way back were truly breathtaking!

Huanghuacheng Great Wall

Huanghuacheng section was another highlight of my trip to Beijing. Compared with other sections of the Great Wall, Huanghuacheng was one of a kind and pretty off the beaten path. Hiking along the wall was no easy task too, but it was worthwhile. I had never expected to see the wall when it was submerged in water, making it very unique and breathtaking. The open wide countryside, the fresh air and the waterside Great Wall – it surely is hard to beat! The views at Huanghuacheng were even more amazing than what I saw at Jinshanling and other sections. I really enjoyed a fabulous time while trekking over there! Everything was perfect that day - great weather, fantastic company, good mood – all made my trip down there a lifetime memory!

Overall, I just would not have it any other way to explore the Great Wall!

Terrific Service, Excellent Badaling Great Wall Tour

To my surprise, this tour was conducted so beautiful and fluent! I felt very happy and exciting. In order to present my mother a different present, I booked this tour. My mother liked Chinese Great Wall very much, not alone Chinese profound history. Because we are the first Great Wall traveler, we did not get enough preparation.

Badaling Great Wall

After arriving at the Beijing Airport, we met the tour guide who is very sophisticated and slim girl. And we were getting to know about the information, Chinese history, modern condition and features of each spot. There are a lot of tourists and cars stopping at the entrance of this airport. Much thanks to the driver, offering us the most efficient transfer. On the journey to Badaling Great Wall, my mother was very happy. We communicated and talked about our feeling and life experience to each other. About 1 hour driving, we arrived at the foot of this section. This time, there are many tourists gathered here. Wow, elegant mountain appeared to us. From the far distance, Badaling Great Wall showed not too grand as I imagined. My mother and I, we helped each other stepped on this giant section. It is truly amazing building with grey bricks, presenting more sophisticated and dazzling. We took a lot of pictures. Tourists coming here are almost the foreigners. We conveyed the warmest greetings to each other. Even some people took their little children, very strong!

During the late spring season, all the sceneries are reaching utmost blossoming. Along the great wall, there are many garbage boxes. Also, there are many cleaners cleaning this holy land all the time. I want to say littering should be forbidden in this area. Because it is the wonders of this world, we should protect it not destroy. About 1 hour hiking, we all got tired. Every breath showed so rapid. Each step seemed to be an elegant mountain waiting for our climbing and hiking. After sitting at the corner near the watch tower, we started our talking. This watch tower was bet preserved with well-kept floor and ground. To the regret is that inside, there are many crowded vendors. They have added modern tastes to this holy wonder. After relaxing about half an hour, we went on our journey. It is truly laborious work. We did our best and climbed to the heist point.

The feeling on the top is unexpected happy and exciting. Grand sceneries on the top beyond your imagination, wonderful and dazzling!

Off the Beaten Path to Gubeikou Great Wall

Long been looking forward to an adventure to off the beaten path great wall. Last week, finally did it! Picked the great wall at Gubeikou section for my hiking. It was a fun trip full of blood-pumping experiences as well as one of a kind view. Just loved every minute of it!

Gubeikou Great Wall

My tour guide showed up early in the morning and we headed out right away and hit the road for Gubeikou. It took us about half and two hours to get there - kind of too long but it was all worth it! It was a fun ride over there, by the way, with Lee my tour guide filling me in with lots of stories and legends about the great wall at Gubeikou. As the car shuddered to a halt, we headed straight for the wall. Looking from afar, the great wall at Gubeikou was just like a snake meandering upon the greenery-covered mountains. It was really a great sight! Just could not help snapping a couple of photos myself! As no cable car available out there, we had to climb up the wall on foot, challenging yet totally worth it! The great wall over there was kind of left to nature and pretty wild with the crumbling wall remains spreading all over the paths, making my trekking on the wall more like mountain-climbing but I did enjoy every minute of it!

Gubeikou Great Wall

After I got a hang of trekking on the wall, it was much easier for me to hike along with Lee. Got to say, the views I saw on the wall totally took my breath away, and of course, lifetime moments must be captured with photos! We both enjoyed a wonderful time on the wall and after about two hours of hiking, it was time to say goodbye to the wall. By the time we got off the wall, it was well into the afternoon, and Lee took me to a lovely village located nearby, where I did some serious sightseeing and had my lunch as well. It was really a great experience with this trip to Gubeikou! It was fun and full of lifetime moments and I just loved it there! What a full day!
