Itinerary of: 8 Days Yunnan Tour Package B (with hotel)

Day 1
Kuming Arrival

You will be picked up at Kunming airport and transferred to the hotel. Free at leisure.You can explore the city, visit the landmark of Kunming-the Golden Horse and Phoenix Archway and take a leisurely stroll along the Green Lake, a charming area of teahouses and small boutiques selling handicrafts and beautiful local paintings.

Day 2
Kunming - Jinghong (B, L)
Stone Forest

Drive 86 km to the Stone Forest. After this, take late afternoon flight to Jinghong (which means 'the City of Dawn' in the Dai language), the capital city of Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture.
- Stone Forest: is known as the First Wonder of the World ever since the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644 AD) for its natural landscape.
- Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture: it is located in the southernmost tip of Yunnan Province, is a humid tropical area on the border of Myanmar and Laos. It is home to the ethnic Dai people as well as the golden peacock, the emblem of Yunnan Province, and also inhabited a number of ethnic groups, of which the ethnic Dai nationality has the largest population. Visitors will be fascinated by their special customs, festival activities, architectural styles, and garden-like villages.

Day 3
Jinghong (B, L)
Tropical Botanical Garden

In this morning, we'll travel by road to Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden and take a stop at the Olive Dam (ganlan ba). On the way back, we will take a visit to the Garden of Dais and join in the water-splashing game if possible.
- Olive Dam: is a small basin in Xishuangbanna, Yunnan Province, China. It is known in the language of the Dai people as Menghan. The Olive Dam (Ganlan Ba) on the Lancang Rivers is called by the local Dai people as " peacock tail ", meaning the most beautiful part of Xishuangbanna.
- Tropical Botanical Garden: Menglun tropical botanical garden is the largest tropical botanical garden in China. The environment here is so beautiful with mountain and river around that it is praised as "the Emerald on the Crown of the Kingdom of Plants".

Day 4
Jinghong - Dali (B, L)
Wild Elephant Valley

Pick you up from your hotel and visit theWild Elephant Valley in the morning. The native Chinese elephant lives in the equatorial forest of Xishuangbanna. When the wild elephants appear, we can walk about on the overhead corridor and watch the elephants bathing, playing water games and looking for food. Take a flight to Dali after returning to Jinghong in the afternoon. Upon arrival, be met and transfered to hotel.
- Wild Elephant Valley: it is the place where elephants roam most freely, and are most often seen.

Day 5
Dali (B, L)
Three Pagodas

Pick you up from your hotel and visit the Erhai Lake by boat and visit Jinsuo Island. After landing, come to Xizhou Town to fully appreciate Bai-style architecture, taste their fragrant three-course tea and explore their distinctive culture. And then, visit the Three-pagoda in Chongsheng temple, which is a typical historical symbol of Yunnan. It is also one of the oldest sublime architecture in South China. At last, we will visit the Dali Ancient Town, which is located at the foot of Cangshan Mountain.
- Erhai: The Lake is the second largest lake of Yunnan Province, with the Dianchi Lake ranking the first. It is named after its shape and expanse. "Er" in Chinese means a human ear and "Hai" means a sea, therefore it got the name Erhai.
- Three Pagodas: the Dali Three Pagodas, located in the Chongsheng Temple at the foot of the Cangshan Mountain, have a history of over 1,800 years. They have been eyewitnesses to the history of Dali and embody the development of Buddhism in the area-
- Dali Ancient Town: a city that is famous for its literature, historical records, cultural of heritage and richest relic in Yunnan Province. It faces Erhai Lake to the east and Cangshan Mountain to the west.

Day 6
Dali - Lijiang (B, L)
Lijiang Ancient Town

In the morning, we will embark on a scenic drive with Mt. Cangshan on one side and the Erhai Lake on the other, driving to Lijiang ('Beautiful River', a name given by Kublai Khan in 1254.). Visit the Black Dragon Pool to explore the rich Naxi minority culture. And then, visit the Wangu Pavilion where we can enjoy a bird's eye view of the Old Lijiang Town. After dinner, we will attend the concert of the ancient Naxi music in the evening(optional choice).
- Black Dragon Pool: it is the main headwater of the Yushui River which goes through the Old Town of Lijiang. It lies in the Wulao Hills, regard as a famous sight on the northern outskirts of Kunming. It is known for its "four beauties".
- Naxi Ancient Music and Dance Performance: it is the traditional Naxi classical music that is regarded as a 'living fossil of Chinese music.

Day 7
Lijiang (B, L)
Jade Dragon Snow Mountain

We will visit Ganhaizi Meadow, Baishui River, Maoniu Meadow (Yak Meadow) in the Yulong Snow Mountain. In the afternoon, visit Baisha Village, which is an enchanting traditional Yunnan village, drive to visit Yufeng Lamasery. And then, we will visit the Former Residence of Joseph Rock, famous botanist and expert on Naxi culture. At last, we will head for Huangshan Village where traditional Naxi people inhabit and we will take our dinner of local flavor at a Naxi home there.
- Yulong (Jade Dragon) Snow Mountain: is the much famed mountain is situated some 15km north of Lijiang County, located in the southern section of the Hengduan (transversely faulted) Mountain ranges.

Day 8
Lijiang - Kunming (B)

We will take a morning flight returning to Kunming. Spend some time exploring the bustling Flower and Bird Market before our farewell.
